Disaster strikes without warning, but you can prepare yourself today for any future events by taking these small steps now. Take the time to review the following data for you and your family.

One of these resources is the City of Salinas’s FEMA flood Map. This should not be a daunting task as there are resources which you can reference and prepare for a disaster. It will be necessary for people to rely on family members, fellow employees and neighbors for immediate life saving and life sustaining needs for roughly the first 48-72 hours and possibly days after any major earthquake or natural disaster. The purpose of this map is to provide a representation of FEMA NFHL in the City of Salinas.Īs we have learned with past disasters, the fire department and other public servants can not be in all places at all times. Data and further information are publicly available from the FEMA NFHL website. Data are given as annual chance to flood, 1%, or 100 year flood zone, and 0.2%, or 500 year flood zone. This map depicts the FEMA National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL) in and surrounding the City of Salinas. Thank you for your patience! Some of our maps might take a minute to load.
